This is a great screen capture program and better yet it is free.  A few years ago TechSmith gave the program away for free.  They have canceled that offer but you can still get it for free following these steps.  Also, you can get 1/2 discount if you decide to upgrade to the latest version.  I just ran this and it works great.

SnagIt 7.2.5 Full Version Free Download with Genuine Software Key Code » My Digital Life

1. Visit the following Avanquest Advent Calendar 2008 offer page: http://web.avanquest.com/special_offers/2008_calendar/calendar.cfm
2. Click on date numbered 13.
3. Click on Télécharger gratuitement button.
4. Enter email address (adresse email), first name (prénom), and last name (nom).
5. SnagIt Free Software Key
6. Click Continuer when done.
7. A serial key of SnagIt 7 will be displayed on the screen.
8. Download SnagIt 7.2.5 setup installer: snagit.exe.
9. Install SnagIt 7.
10. Run SnagIt 7, go to Help -> Enter Software Key, and enter the SnagIt 7 serial number to unlock and activate full version of SnagIt 7.

Go and get a copy of this program before the stop offering it for free.  It is a great program and I plan on upgrading it as soon as I get it.

The upgrade cost to the newest version is $19.95.  Then you can automatically output screen captures to Flickr.com.  That way all the images are stored on Flickr’s servers and you don’t have to use up your storage and bandwidth on your accounts.  Works great with free sites like Blogger.com and Wordpress.com.

Windows only: Normally not-free screenshot application SnagIt is being given away in a slightly older version for free—good news for technical writers and others who want to upgrade beyond the PrtSc key. Tech blog Digital Inspiration has the details of how to get a fully unlocked version of SnagIt, which maker TechSmith hopes will entice users into upgrading to version 8.2 at half price. But 7.2 still has a number of nifty features, including capturing entire scrolled windows, arrows and other annotation tools and “profiles” to save certain size shots in specific folders and the like. SnagIt 7.2 is (currently) a free download for Windows systems only.
